New England Revolution cae ante el Inter Miami con doblete de Messi

El Gillette Stadium en Foxborough, Massachusetts se vio abarrotado de gente, mientras se había anunciado que se esperaba un lleno total.

Tras sorprender al Inter Miami con un gol en el primer minuto, el New England Revolution cayó 4 - 1 el sábado en la noche en el Gillette Stadium.

El Revolution empezó con gran energía y en el minuto 1', el argentino Tomás Chancalay hizo lo imposible y puso al equipo adelante, sin embargo la ventaja fue acortada por quien todos esperaban ver el sábado, Lionel Messi.

El astro del fútbol anotó en los minutos 32 y 68, y asistió en el gol de Luis Suárez 89'. Por su parte, Benjamin Cremaschi hizo el tercer gol en el minuto 83'.

El Inter Miami había confirmado la llegada de Messi a Boston el viernes en la noche en una publicación en la red social X (conocido anteriormente como Twitter).

El viernes el Tata Martino confirmó que Messi vendría a Massachusetts, así como todos los jugadores que están activos.

El Departamento de Policía de Foxborough había advertido más temprano que se esperaba fuerte congestión en el tráfico e instó a los asistentes al partido a llegar antes de las 5 p.m.

Durante toda esta semana, fanáticos hispanos en Boston han expresado su admiración y emoción por ver al astro argentino.

“Leo es lo único, Leo es el mejor, Leo es el mejor diez del mundo” dice Daniel Mesa, residente de East Boston, fanático de Messi. 

"Yo a Messi lo tengo como si fuera un profeta que Dios mandó a la tierra a jugar", dice Víctor Ortega, entrenador de fútbol en East Boston quien da clases a niños y su amor por el fútbol lo llevó a montar una tienda junto a su esposa.

Para el capitán de los Revs Carles Gil, el enfoque está en Sergio Busquets y la batalla en el medio campo.
